Medina County Emergency Management Agency Offering MCDS Members PPE for Their Practices

(This article was updated on May 25, 2020)

Dear Medina County Dental Society Members:

Medina County Emergency Management Agency has asked us to share the following information with you regarding the ordering of N95 respirators:

Medina County Emergency Management Agency is now offering up to 40 universal size N95 respirators per dentist. This is only for dentists in Medina County, OH.

Please be aware that these N95s were donated locally. Dental offices are still outside of the established priorities for Strategic National Stockpile materials. Please continue to order through your normal suppliers.

To distribute to every dentist in Medina County equally, we are still working from our original allocation. If you already received the maximum amount of PPE listed on the request form, please do not request more of that item at this time.

We ask for each office to complete their own request form since it has important information. Please feel free to forward this to other dentists in Medina County, OH. Thank you to everyone for your patience as we refine our PPE distribution process for dental offices.

- MCEMA

According to MCEMA, each dentist will receive up to the following:

  • 40 Ford Face Shields

  • 40 Plastic Band Face Shields

  • 400 Small Non-Medical Nitrile Gloves

  • 40 Universal Sized N95 Respirators

If you have already received PPE but did not receive the full quantity listed above, you can request the difference up to the maximum listed. MCEMA’s currently displayed pick-up date for orders appears to be Friday, May 29th; so be sure to place your order as soon as possible.
